Southie/Northie

I had this very funny conversation with a lady from Texas who works as a nurse in an Indian Doctors office.

I told her that I was from Hyderabad, she asked me whether I was from South India or North India. Dazed that she identified India as two parts told her was from the South. I asked her if she found any difference in the people from south and the north. To this she replied that people from North have simple easy to pronounce last names and everyone has the same last name. Whereas people from the south have long unpronounceable names and to top it off everyone in family doesn’t have the same last name ….
