Bikes

2 wheels, 1 engine and a frame. This is all it takes to make a bike. Just add a few more parts like braking systems, electronics and some additional mechanics and BANG there is your dream bike.

In all the bikes I road there are only few that actually are worth a mention, so for a better comparing lets just consider a few..

CATEGORY 1
CD 100, Splendor, 4s champion, viktor and so on
in this set somehow my heart goes with the 4s champion though people always say viktor is the best .. but the true feel of riding a low powered bike only comes on a 4s champion. I cant say the same about splendor though. I jsut hate the bike. I would actually swap it with a CD 100 netime.

CATEGORY 2
CBZ, Pulsar, Karizma
This is the mini sports bike category .. i drive the CBZ so I am totally partial to this awesome bike ..
The sprint engine is awesome in low-rpm .. the high end torque is conc in the low rpm area( this is what Nittu explained when he was talking about the diff between his baleno and city) the bike is really stable in high speed dropping maneuverability in low speed.
The pulsar on the other hand has a real flat torque curve so it is faster than a CBZ in the 40-80 zone and highly maneuverable at low speeds but kindy cranky at high speed where it isnt as stable as the cbz and the breaks have a tendency of locking at high decelerations.
Though I just drove the Karizma a couple of times, it is not tough to miss on the acc.. When you let this baby out it just rips apart anything on the road..


CATEGORY 3
This is the BULLET area . My cousin Girish tells me that all the bullet java yezdi bikes fall in the tourer category of bikes. These are the bikes that are heavy with huge engine capcities and an awesome throttle sound. Americans just love the Harley but let them try driving it on the Indian roads. Whereas a tourer is ideal for the Indian roads sturdy and a min turning radius.
Among these i love the Yezdi that went out of production about the timeI was born .This lovely bike has a 250cc Engine with 12BHp resounding from its twin rear exhaust. This bike was the sucessor to the java and came out in a lot of models like yezdi, yezdi 250, and finally the yezdi roadking before shutting down. It was a thrill seeing withe roadking ripping along with the black side strip and black thigh protectors . The Bullet comes in various versions. The newer the vrsion be assured the more feminie it becomes.. Most of the new ones have electric start and decent electrics. Though the old Bullet 350 is still the best among the newones machismo is the most decent. Somehow the concept of driving a cruiser like thunderbird in indian traffic is not quite appealing.
